Installation Steps

  • First take out all the package contents. Inside you’ll find the Netgear Mobile Hotspot. Then a USB C power cable, a battery and lastly a quick user manual. 
  • Now remove the battery lid of the Hotspot. Insert the battery into it and install the cover firmly and close it down. 
  • The battery is partially charged. So you can charge it up using the supplied USB C power charging cable. 
  • Now on the Hotspot you’ll find the power button. Press it and activate the device. 
  • The menu will appear on the touch screen. Now take your smartdevice. On it open wifi connection network manager. 
  • Finally, pair your device to the hotspot using Wifi name and password. The details are written on the product label, also pops up on the home screen of the Hotspot and are also given in the user guide. 

Manage Advanced Settings

  • Take a smart device which is paired to the Mobile Hotspot. 
  • Now, launch a web browser. It can be any compatible and up-to-date browser like chrome, firefox, safari, edge and internet explorer. 
  • Thereafter head to the URL column. Into it type http://192.168.1.1. Click Enter.
  • Now the web page will open up. You have to fill in the login password. By default it is “attadmin”. The password is case sensitive so use lower letter case and avoid typos. 
  • Finally, you can now manage the Netgear Mobile Hotspot’s advanced settings. 

How To Replace a Sim Card?

The Netgear Mobile Hotspot comes with a pre-installed sim card. But if you want to replace it then follow these steps. 

  • Firstly, press the power button for about five seconds. Now you’ll get the power off on the touchscreen. Tap on it. 
  • As the Hotspot is powered off, remove the back cover by lifting the corners. 
  • Now take out the battery. There you’ll find the sim card. Remove it and replace it with the one that you have. 
  • Reinsert the battery and close the lid. 

Home Screen

The Netgear Mobile Hotspot features a touch screen. On this screen you can check out the battery, signal strength and much more. At bottom, you’ll get three options. One is wifi. As you tap on it, you can see connected devices, you can alter the password, create a guest network and more. Next option is that of messages and then comes the settings option. The Hotspot also features a smart LED indicator. If the indicator is blinking blue slowly then it means the Hotspot is ready. Next if it shows double blinking blue light then it indicates transferring of data. Lastly, if the status indicator is blinking red then it means the Mobile Hotspot is not connected to the network.
