If you are using a Netgear router provided by Hay Communications for your internet and WiFi connection, it is important to regularly check for firmware updates to keep it running smoothly.

Follow These Steps To To It Yourself

1 To log into the router, open your web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar. You can also click the link in this email.

2 Use your username and password to log in. The username and password are both “admin” by default.

3 Click ADVANCED

4 There will be a message saying, “A new firmware upgrade is available.” “Click here to get it” is next to the ADVANCED button you just clicked.

5 You will be given the option to upgrade to the new version. Click “Yes.”

6 The new firmware will now be downloaded and installed. Wait 4–8 minutes.

7 After download, it will install automatically.

8 After install, router settings will update. Wait for reboot.
